I’ve been playing an instrument called ‘didgeridoo’ for some years, with varying results… :-P For the uninitiated, the didgeridoo is “…a wind instrument developed by Indigenous Australians of northern Australia around 1,500 years ago and still in widespread usage today both in Australia and around the world. It is sometimes described as a natural wooden trumpet or ‘drone pipe’.” (Quote from ‘Wikipedia’)
I have two different didgeridoos, which are pictured on the left.
The larger one (l=150cm) is made of teak wood; it is initially quite easy to play and gives a very low, booming drone, but it is rather difficult to modulate the tone.
The smaller one (l=125cm) is made of eucalyptus wood; it is a bit harder to play, but the tone modulation is surprisingly easy.
Both are bought from Thomann, a German online music shop.
